Garbage & Recycling Information

The City of Cedarburg and Waste Management understand that this is an adjustment for all residents and business with the implementation of the new trash bins, but we want to reiterate the City of Cedarburg Ordinance SEC. 8-3-6(b)(2) Restriction of Time Placement.  All containers for refuse and recycling are placed out after 5:00 p.m. on the evening prior to the regular collection time the following day, and no later than 6:30 a.m. on the day of pickup.  The collection process may go faster with the automated pickup system and if your pickup is missed, they may not come back to collect.  If your pickup is missed, you will have to call Waste Management at 888-960-0008 or report it via their website at https://www.wm.com/us/en/support/missed-service/report-a-missed-pickup-form

Please remember that all trash and recycling MUST be placed in your bins for pickup.  Nothing outside your bins will be picked up by Waste Management. 

If a special pickup is needed, you can always schedule a special pickup through the City of Cedarburg or you can also request from Waste Management.
