road closed

Dear Residents,

Here is an update on the Street and Utility work. All timelines listed below are subject to change due to weather conditions or equipment breakdowns.

Highland Drive & Sunnyside Lane

Dorner Inc. will be completing the gravity sewer sometime in the next week on these streets. They then will begin working on the water main from Portland Road to the bridge. The utility work is scheduled to be finished up the first week of July. The utility work will be followed by the road work.

Jefferson Avenue

Dorner Inc. has completed the utility work on this street. Denny Rahn Excavating, Inc. will perform the road work once the gas company finishes up their project. The road work involves removing 14 inches of existing asphalt, base and spreading 9 inches of new base course. The road work will be followed by the concrete work.

Thornapple Lane

Denny Rahn Excavating will begin the road work in the next couple of weeks. The road work involves removing 14 inches of existing asphalt, base and spreading 9 inches of new base course.  The road work will be followed by the concrete work.

All streets continue to be closed to thru traffic. Due to the construction, roadway access and driveway access may be limited during working hours but will be restored at the end of the day.

We ask for your patience during the construction. The entire project will be completed by August 26, 2022. If you have any questions, concerns, or special requests, please let me know. I can be reached at City Hall at (262) 375-7610 or email me at durbanek@ci.cedarburg.wi.us.
