Street & Utility Update

To: Residents within the 2023 Street & Utility Project

Dear Residents,

Here is an update on the Street and Utility work. All timelines listed below are subject to change due to weather conditions or equipment breakdowns. 

Woodland Road & Highwood Drive

DC Burbach is on site and will finish up the concrete work sometime this week. The concrete work will be followed by fine grading. The fine grading will be done by Payne & Dolan Inc. This is scheduled to be done sometime next week.

Sommerset Avenue & Wirth Street

Denny Rahn Excavating will be onsite this week to begin the road work. The road work consists of removing 14 inches of existing asphalt, base, and spreading 9 inches of new base course. The road work should take about two weeks to complete. The road work will be followed by the concrete work.

Garfield Street

Dorner Inc. will finish up the utilities this week. The utility work will be followed by road work. The road work will be done by Denny Rahn Excavating. This is currently scheduled to begin the week of June 26.

Alley between Franklin Avenue & Evergreen Boulevard

Denny Rahn Excavating is scheduled to begin road work sometime in mid July. This will consist of removing 12 inches of existing asphalt, base and spreading 8 inches of new base course.

All streets continue to be closed to thru traffic. Due to the construction, roadway access and driveway access may be limited during working hours but will be restored at the end of the day.
