Stormwater Management

Importance

What flows on the surface of the land and streets in an urban area, ultimately ends up in local streams, rivers and Lake Michigan. The storm sewer system in the City of Cedarburg does not lead to the Sewage Treatment Facility.

If local citizens dump waste oil, gas, pesticides, fertilizers, or pet waste in the street area, they are ultimately polluting our local waters. Careless management of construction sites are also contributors to poor water quality. This page will help inform our citizens of household practices that everyone can do to help clean up Cedarburg's beautiful waters.
